Parish Council Meeting - 7th July 2026

The next Meeting of Thurgoland Parish Council is to be held at Crane Moor Methodist Chapel, Crane Moor Road, Crane Moor on Tuesday 7th July 2026 at 7pm, for the purpose of transacting the following business:-

AGENDA

1. To accept apologies for absence and to receive Declarations of Interest in items on the agenda.

2. To confirm the minutes of the meetings held on Wednesday 3rd June 2026 and Monday 15th June 2026.

3. To report matters arising from the minutes not on the agenda.

4. To adjourn the business of the Parish Council in order that members of the public can bring items to the attention of the Parish Council.

5. To consider the following Planning Application: 2026/0384 1 Mountain Row, Pog lane, Crane Moor

8. To consider how planning applications arriving in July and August and requiring a response before the September Parish Council meeting, can be best dealt with

9. To receive items to bring to the attention of Neighbourhood Services/Penistone Environmental Services

10. To receive any comments/information relating to footpath and public rights of way issues

11. To receive items related to roads and transport

12. To receive consider any actions required re Crane Moor Recreation Ground

13. To receive an update regarding hanging baskets

14. To receive an update with regards to Thurgoland Cricket club

15. To consider proposals for additional Remembrance events/actions in November

16. To receive information regarding matters having financial implications for the Council

    (a) to approve any financial agreements made in this meeting
    (b) to agree payments and income in accordance with the Parish Council budget as notified (draft Appendix A)

17. To receive current financial situation vs Parish Council Budget (Appendix B at the meeting).

18. To agree winner of June’s calendar competition

19. To receive a verbal report from the Clerk on progress on outstanding items

20. To receive any correspondence received and reports from external meetings

21. To agree upon any news items received to be posted for inclusion on website, noticeboards and social media

22. To be notified of any matters to be placed on the agenda of the next meeting of the Parish Council

23. To confirm that the next Parish Council meeting will be held on Wednesday 2nd September 2026 and will be held at Crane Moor Chapel, Crane Moor at 7.00pm.
